This course is for anyone who prepares for the FAA Control Tower Operator (CTO) certificate under 14 CFR 65 subpart B, whether a new tower controller, a contract tower trainee or a military controller. 14 CFR 65.35 is the syllabus: the flight rules of part 91, airport traffic control procedures and subpart B itself, en route procedures, communications procedures, flight assistance, air navigation and aviation weather.
The mock test is a PRACTICE format, not the official one: 50 questions, 35 to pass (70 percent). 14 CFR 65.35 requires a written test but does not state its question count or pass mark.
The written test is given as the regulation requires; your facility or training program tells you where and when.
