This course prepares you for the School Bus (S) endorsement knowledge test. It is for a driver who will carry school children. The S endorsement is added on top of the Passenger (P) endorsement, and needs its own knowledge test and a skills test in a school bus. States add their own school bus laws and background checks.
Hawaii gives the test at its own driver licensing office, and sets its own fees and required documents, so confirm those with the state before you go.
This course drills 49 questions. Every one is written from 49 CFR Parts 383, 390, 392, 393 and 396 — the federal rules that apply in every state — and names the section that proves its answer. A state may add rules of its own on top of the federal minimum.
