This course prepares you for the Air Brakes knowledge test knowledge test. It is for any CDL driver who will drive a vehicle with air brakes. A driver who does not pass it gets an air brake restriction on the licence.
Illinois gives the test at its own driver licensing office, and sets its own fees and required documents, so confirm those with the state before you go.
This course drills 64 questions. Every one is written from 49 CFR Parts 383, 393 and 396 — the federal rules that apply in every state — and names the section that proves its answer. A state may add rules of its own on top of the federal minimum.
